OMG! It's been almost a year since I tried to push Beckett out of my womb for 3 loooong hours on that beautiful Friday evening! LOL! I don't even remember how bad it was. I remember it was long but it wasn't too bad. Thank god for epidural, I guess. :D
And now a year later, I'm planning his 1st birthday party! How cool is that? He's probably not even going to remember but I want his birthday everything a one year old would want for a party! Elmo, cake, ice cream, candies, lots of presents and lumpias! Hahaha.
Speaking of Elmo, we've decided on the theme. It's Sesame Street. Surprised? Bebe hearts Elmo! We've got the invitation, decors, the venue, who's going to make the cake! The fun just started & excitement building up! ;}
of course, nothing ever gets done without a hitch. especially when it's your first time planning your baby's first ever birthday party. it's soooo time consuming. so many ideas. and there's so much stuff out there, it's crazy! i'm getting overwhelmed yet very inspired. beckett, i'm sure, doesn't even care but we're only 1 once so i want this party to be grand. grand, the only way i know how & how far our budget will allow. if i could do everything myself i would! i'd bake the cake & cook the food! i'd make all the decorations myself. eff that! i probably could but beckett's too clingy, it's hard enough to squeeze in mommy time much more pull an iron chef! not that i'm complaining, just saying . . . anywho, just want everything to be perfect but some things are out of my control. meh!
on the bright side, we have beckett's outfit all taken care of. most of the decors are complete. the one thing i was hoping we accomplish before his birthday was he could walk by then but i'm guessing that isn't going to happen. though he really, really does want to start to walk already but he's physically not ready yet. i don't want to force him, of course. am i disappointed? nah. i heard babies who take their time are smart babies, not lame. and beckett is showing a lot of signs to be one smart baby! am i surprised? no way! please. i'd be super surprised if he were stupid. no way i'd borne a stupid baby! HAHAHAHA.
alright, we're good! cake has been commissioned. place is set! it'll be at wowo's! lol! now on to diy projects . . . cupcake toppers, favor bags, pom poms, cupcake stand. i'm tired just thinking about it! can't wait for the finish products. :D
the big day is fast approaching and we are definitely almost ready. :) things are looking pre-tty good, from the banners to our diy cupcake stand, good looking indeed. i just hope it doesn't rain. weather's been whack lately but one thing's for sure, it's chilly up here. i hate cold. anyway, i'm really happy with how things turned out as far as the decors.
and beckett's been working over time to get his little butt to walk. hahaha. baby boy has been taking a couple of steps here and there. so proud of him. he might not be walking yet but baby sure loves to dance! he bops his head like no other. it's the cutest thing!
